Sohini completes her dubbing for Vinci Da; Srijit calls her brilliant

After Rajkahini, director and producer Srijit Mukherji has collaborated with actress Sohini Sarkar, currently seen in a lead role in soap Bhoomikanya, for his next film Vinci Da. In addition to Sohini, the thriller also stars Ritwick Chakraborty and Anirban Bhattacharya.

Sohini has completed her dubbing for Vinci Da, and the film’s director today took to social media to share the development. He posted a photo featuring Sohini and him in the dubbing room.

Praising his actress, Srijit captioned the photo, ‘The absolutely brilliant @sohinisarkar01 completes her dubbing for #Vincida. What a performer!’

Arindam Sil stands by Naseeruddin Shah

Tollywood actor–producer Arindam Sil has supported veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah when right-wing groups criticized him for his recent remarks on mob violence. According to media reports, organizers of the Ajmer Literature Festival, on Friday called off an event, which was supposed to be addressed by Naseeruddin, after protests from right-wing groups. In an interview with a TV channel, the actor reportedly said, ‘In some areas killing of a cow receives more importance than lynching of a police officer....’ He further said to media that he loves his country and he expressed his concerns about the recent developments in the country, which is his homeland. His comment received criticism and trolling on social media, and Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena went a step ahead and claimed that they have booked a flight ticket for the veteran actor to Pakistan. ‘If Naseeruddin Shah is scared in India, he should not delay in leaving for Pakistan. I have booked a ticket for him for August 14 Pakistan Independence Day, so that India has one less traitor,’ said party chief Amit Jani.

Going by Arindam’s words, it seems he has referred to the above comment.

Supporting Naseeruddin, yesterday he wrote on his Twitter page, ‘I wait to see how many of the fraternity at Mumbai stand by #NaseerudinShah for his truthful comment and voice against the organisation that bought him a ticket for Pakistan. I stand in protest and say Shame to them who have belittled the Pride of our country.’

Christmas fever is on for Sudiptaa Chakraborty’s family

Christmas is just round the corner and celebration has already begun for Sudiptaa Chakraborty and her family. The C/O Sir and Bariwali fame actress has shared some lovely photos of her hubby and daughter on her social media handle. Christmas fever is certainly on for the family but we are missing Sudiptaa from the pictures.

The actress, who next will be seen in Kaushik Ganguly's Jyeshthoputro and recently made her digital debut with Do Not Disturb, accompanied the photos with a caption that read, ‘Christmas fever is onnnnn.’

Arindam Sil’s take on Raj Chakraborty’s Adventures of Jojo

Adventures of Jojo is SVF’s Christmas release. Directed by Raj Chakraborty, this children’s adventure film narrates the journey of Jojo a young boy of twelve as he travels to Baropahari to visit his uncle. There, he makes friends with a young boy Shibu and an elephant Nonibala. It is the debut film of actor Joyjit Banerjee’s son Jashojeet Banerjee. It released on 21 December, and Arindam Sil, who is known for helming films like Eagoler Chokh and Ebar Shabor, said that Adventures of Jojo should be a delight for children and their parents for this Christmas and New Year.

Arindam shared his view on Twitter by writing, ‘This @iamrajchoco film #AdventuresOfJojo should be a delight for children and their parents for this Christmas and New Year. Another sure shot hit film from @SVFsocial stable to round up the year.’
