MUMBAI:  #BoycottBollywood was netizens' favorite trend this year. Due to some reasons, moviegoers were upset with films and the stars that featured in it. #Boycott isn't something new, but this year it happened multiple times. 

So, today let's look at the list of films that faced the Boycott trend this year...

Gangubai Kathiawadi

#BoycottGangubaiKathiawadi started trending after the trailer of Alia Bhatt starrer was released. One of the reasons was that people blamed her for being a product of nepotism. But, that didn't affect the movie and it did well at the box office. 

Laal Singh Chaddha

One film that was affected by the boycott trend a lot was Laal Singh Chaddha. From Kareena Kapoor Khan's statement about 'don't watch our films' to Aamir Khan's statement about 'intolerance' many years ago, there were multiple reasons why netizens boycotted the film. Aamir even requested people not to Boycott his film, but the movie failed to make a mark at the box office. 

Raksha Bandhan

Yes, even Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan had faced the Boycott trend, and the reason behind it was writer Kanika Dhillon. She had done some tweets earlier due to which netizens were upset with her and that's why they wanted to Boycott the movie. Well, just like LSC, Raksha Bandhan was also a flop at the box office. 

Brahmastra

#BoycottBrahmastra trended for a lot of reasons and one of them was a scene which netizens thought that Ranbir Kapoor is entering a temple with shoes. Well, in the film it wasn't temple but a pandal.

Dobaaraa

There was nothing great against Taapsee Pannu's film Dobaaraa. But, in one of the interviews, she and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap stated that they are feeling left out and their film should also be boycotted. So, then netizens made #BoycottDobaaraa trend on Twitter.
