However today we will speak about a director whose last blockbuster film earned him an advance of Rs 55 crores without even the script being ready.

The director we are talking about it none other than Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, “After the historic success of superstar #Rajinikanth's #Jailer, director #NelsonDilipkumar has been paid a whopping sum of ₹55 cr as advance for #Jailer2.”
If the news is true, it makes Nelson the highest paid directors of India. His Jailer 2 will be his fifth film in his career.

Jailer stars Rajinikanth, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan in pivotal roles.
Nelson began his film career with the Nayanthara starrer Kolamaavu Kokila. His next film Doctor entered the 100 crore club.
