TV heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh has become a household name now, thanks to his spirited performance as Anant in Star Plus’ <em>Navya</em>. The show produced by Swastik Pictures, is going off air on 29 June (2012) and media reports suggested that Shaheer has been signed to play an important role in Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming show, <em>Humsafar</em> (produced by Sphere Origins). Reports also suggested that he will share screen space with Himmanshoo Malhotra.

Yes, finally after a lot of delay, it’s time for Navya (Soumya Seth) and Anant (Shaheer Sheikh) to get married. This is what Shaheer has to say about the sequence. “When the <em>baarat</em> actually set off from my home, with all the band baaja around and me on the horse, I felt that it was happening for real. I enjoyed riding the horse. Now I know how exactly a groom feels during his wedding. I had great fun overall.” We tried contacting Soumya but she remained unavailable.

It’s celebration time on the sets of Swastik Pictures’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/gagan-malik-enter-navya>Navya</a> on Star Plus as the show is completing 200 episodes today (30 December 2011). It is surely a great achievement considering the fact that in today’s time daily soaps come under the scanner after a month or two of its hitting the screen.

Navya and Anant’s college days are over and they are now all set to enter their professional lives. However, the latest news that is flowing in from the sets of Swastik Pictures’ <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/navya-enter-new-phase-her-life>Navya</em></em> is that <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/gagan-malik-gets-his-big-break>Gagan Malik</a> has been roped in to play the role of Navya’s boss in the show. It’s a cameo which will last for two months.
