Actor Nirmal Pandey who showed off his acting chops in films like Bandit Queen, Godmother, Daayra and Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin passed away today. According to sources, the actor died of a massive heart attack. He was admitted to the Holy Spirit, Andheri. The actor also made his presence felt on television with his fabulous performances in <em>Rajkumar Aryan</em> and <em>Hatim</em>. He was also tipped to be part of Chandraprakash Dwivedi's <em>Mahabharat</em> which was to air on Star Plus but never took off. He was a NSD graduate and had moved to London to be a part of a theater group.

Nirmal Pandey to play lead in Prithvi

Nirmal Pandey is set to return to the small screen as a legendary character. Pandey, last seen as the mythical character Dajjal in Star Plus' <em>Hatim</em>, plays Mohammad Ghori in a show titled <em>Prithvi</em> (by Sagar Arts) for the same channel. "I play King Ghori from the Ghori vansh - Ghori was an outsider who wanted to destroy India and was constantly at war with <em>Prithvi Raj Chauhan</em>. I play an extremely strong character in the show," says the talented actor.

'Ada' set for dramatic twists and turns!

Television is slowly but steadily becoming more like its big bro. In true filmi style, the makers of Sahara One's <em>Ada</em> have decided to infuse dramatic elements in its tracks to draw viewership. "Well we are looking at big time twists and turns after episode 50, and we are going to have, if I might say so, drastic tracks," says show producer Ken Ghosh. So what are these twists and turns, we ask --- "I can't tell you anything about it. You have to ask the channel that," says Ken, with a laugh.
