MUMBAI: Acclaimed director and producer Ravindra Gautam has had an illustrious career on TV. He has directed popular shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Pavitra Rishta, and Kumkum Bhagya. He made his debut as a producer with Star Plus’ Meri Durga and has recently rolled out the second season of Kaal Bhairav Rahasya on Star Bharat.

The talented man got chatty with TellyChakkar and spoke about his new show Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2. He shared, ‘After the success of Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, we thought of bringing season two with more suspense, drama, and thrill in it. It is the first time that I attempted a genre like this. A lot of brainstorming goes behind it to churn out each episode. The storyline is the toughest part for us, as we have to keep viewers engaged. Half the battle was won with Gautam Rode and Additi Gupta playing the lead characters in our show. They not only dedicated actors but also add value to their roles by adding their inputs. I was amazed to see that both of them give away their mobile phones to the spot boys and investing all their energy in giving the best shot. They take each scene to another level with their seriousness and dedication.’

Since he is involved in direction, production, and creative aspects, we asked him if it becomes tedious for him to balance everything. He replied, ‘Well, it does get tedious, but I have a fantastic team working with me who helps me whenever I am in need. The team and I believe in pushing the envelope and giving the best.’

Talking about the challenges he faces while churning out each episode of Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, he says, ‘Well, challenges are that we need have the mystery and horror quotient even-handed along with executing direction. The graphics also play a major role in our show. So in short, all the challenges are never ending but are exciting.’
