5 reasons why we will miss Reporters

Reporters

When Sony’s super-anticipated show Reporters was launched, we were hooked onto it immediately as the content was unique and the pace racy. It gave us a peek inside the world of journalists and their everyday activities. As the show wraps up, we tell you why we are going to miss the show…read on:

The unique concept:

Amidst the overload of saas-bahu sagas, Reporters came as a cool new show that piqued our curiosity. It had the everyday drama of a regular soap, along with the hatke world of reporters, deadlines and breaking news. The behind-the-scenes look and feel of a reporter’s life made for an interesting watch. Sigh…we are so going to miss this.

Rajeev-Kritika’s chemistry:

The duo started off as fierce colleagues who are only bothered about credits, by-lines and exclusives. But eventually, the two fall for each other, amid the backdrop of a newsroom set-up. But it’s their smoking hot chemistry, peppered with a sensational kiss, which made all the news. The lit up the screens with their pairing and we were gasping for more every time they appeared together. We are so going to miss seeing the two…what about you guys?

Acting chops:

Chemistry is one thing, but if there’s no acting prowess involved, it makes no sense at all. Right? Kritika aced the emotional scenes as well as the romantic ones, while Rajeev came out on tops as the edgy editor-in-chief who can go to any lengths to push the TRP of the show.

Concept-appropriate clothing:

If crisp shirts, single dangler earrings and unique hairdos made up Kritika’s attire, Rajeev’s casual and formal wear game is right on top. Their clothes were practical, put-together and reflect the sartorial choices of a reporter. Whom will we take fashion cues from now? *wails*

Sequential setting:

Unlike melodramas that are merely a timed-sequence with characters and plot, Reporter followed a sequential setting. That is, one scene lead to the other and the other to the next and so on. The jump was transitional and built-up the suspense in a believable and realistic ways. Wish other dailies would follow suit as well.

These are our reasons for crying over the coming of end of this show. What are yours? Doesn’t hurt to share them, right? Share. Now.
