When it was first aired in 2009, Director’s Kuts’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH), was a landmark show as it dealt with everyday issues in a refreshing manner. The show, based on a Marwari joint family in Udaipur, gave utmost importance to family values and upkeep. The lead pair, Naitik and Akshara, taught us the true meaning of love as they went through every little happiness and sadness together. They grew together as a couple and family tensions and tribulations only strengthened their bond further. From a happy young couple to beaming parents, they have been through all the emotions of life together. Their love story, caught up in the chaos of a join a family, is one of the sweetest and strongest stories ever.

The ornate accessories, elaborate sets, shiny saris and blingy bindi were a style staple when the show first came out. It continues to wow audiences as every latest trend in fashion is incorporated into the show. In fact, most brides-to-be look for inspiration from Akshara and her colourfully wardrobe. As long as they give us a reason to watch the show, Yeh Rishta will matter to the viewers. What say?

A show can have this sort of connect with the audiences only if the acting skills of the cast and crew is par excellence. We want to see realistic shows with the right touch of drama. Isn't it?
