Pragati Mehra, who played the role of Divya Thakkur in the show Uttaran was the Guest Editor at Tellychakkar.com and when asked to interview a friend she chose her ex co-star from Uttaran, the popular Tina Dutta for our Lifestyle section. The hot and sizzling Tina is currently enjoying playing Meethi on the show and her chemistry with Mrunal Jain is quite talked about. The petite actress who was playing a double role in the show earlier shares her fitness secrets here. Personal fitness mantra? I never work out but make sure that I consume a lot of water and fruits in order to stay healthy and fit. Personal diet mantra? I prefer having healthy breakfast and normal lunch and light dinner. Always eat your dinner before 8 pm and have a regular diet. Are you a foodie? Yes, of course. Exercise routine? I don’t exercise but yes, when I have gorged on a lot I make sure to balance it the next day. Are you a vegetarian or a non-veg? Being a true Bengali I am a hardcore non vegetarian. Favourite cuisine? My favourite cuisine is Chinese. Favourite dish? Dimsums are my all time favourite. A must on your breakfast table? Egg cooked by my mom is a must on my breakfast table. Sugar or sugar-free tea/coffee? I prefer having tea and coffee with sugar. Lunch generally consists of? It generally consists of roti and sabji; a typical homemade meal. Dinner generally consists of? It’s usually a light meal and I always prefer my ‘ghar ka khana’. Dessert delights? I love all kinds of sweets. Mishti doi and rasgullas are the most favourite though. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic)? Red- bull. My favourite drink (alcoholic)? No comments. Most unusual dish I have tasted? I don’t really eat food that have a weird appearance, so have been safe in that prospect. But in Bangkok they had served me something yucky looking thing in red color which I didn’t even taste. Experiment with food? Sometimes. On the streets I love to have? On the streets I love munching on puchka, and egg roll, typical Kolkata street foods. Do you cook? Well, sometimes. I am best cooking cooking dal, chawal, chicken and fish. Fitness tip? Eat well and practice yoga.
