I splurge a lot on perfumes : Sayantani Ghosh

May be that's why Sayantani Ghosh last seen in a cameo in Bidaai smells good. She discusses her fashion fundas with TellyChakkar. Define fashion: Fashion is creating your own style statement and not just following d latest trends, being comfortable in what you wear, and also having a sense of the occasion and place you are going for. Who chooses your clothes: I choose my own clothes. Thankfully being a Bengali, I have always been artistically inclined, and also my modelling career (which I began in Kolkata) helps me in dressing up the way I do.

Do you like to accessorise? Yes, I do because accessories adds special zing to your dressing but one should be careful not to overdo it as it can have a spoiling effect. So if I wear heavy ear-rings, I wear light or no neckpieces and vice versa. A must for me to is to wear a great pair of shades and a nice watch. Do you like wearing branded clothes: I love to wear branded clothes (who doesn’t?). But I also pick up non-brands...there’s no particular brand I prefer, anything with a great fit. Favourite shopping destination: I love Dubai. Most expensive buy: A designer dress I picked up in Dubai…please don’t ask me the price because if my parents read this, they will be shocked! Most comfortable piece of clothing: A pair of jeans and a kurta. Most favourite designer: Sabyasachi because I think he makes a statement with his clothes, a mix of tradition and glamour. A must-have in my wallet: My debit and credit cards. My favourite perfume: I am a perfume freak. I splurge a lot on them. Favouries are Jadore from Christian Dior, Provocative Woman by Elizabeth Arden, Issey Miyake, Allure by Chanel, Armani Mania by Armani. Colour that figures most in your wardrobe: My mum complains that I always wear black and white...they are my favourite colours…even if there are colours available I always reach out for black, and I also love blue. A fashion tip: Be yourself, know what suits you the best and what you are comfortable in and not the latest trend. If you are confident and comfortable in what u wear, you always end up looking good.
