The death of legendary actor Ghanshyam Nayak has shocked the TV industry. He was known for his role as Nattu Kaka on Sab TV’s popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Ghanashyam Nayak died on Sunday after fighting a long battle with cancer. 

Now, JD Majethia, a television actor and producer, shared a post on his social media account recalling Nayak’s early acting days and expressed his sadness post his demise.

JD revealed that he got to know about his cancer very late and around three weeks ago he had called him.He said, “ My wife too had spoken with him. At that time he told me that he was recovering but now the curtains have come down.”

JD did not meet Nayak through work, but they had been friends since he was a child.

He also revealed that they were neighbours in the hometown and he used to see him perform in theatres. He said, “I was a big fan of his acting. Working with him was like a dream come true for me. The most memorable moments which I have of him are when we worked together in plays and in the show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.”

JD spoke about his social media post where he mentioned that not everyone is capable of playing roles such as these, and Nayak excelled at it. He also stated that Nayak didn't seem to have any enemies in this sector because he was so nice to everyone.
