As an actor, you have to let your acting do the talking – Punit Sharma

he young and handsome Punit Sharma won all hearts as the psycho-lover, Faiz in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai. Well, he’s recently entered mainstream TV again, with an interesting role in Zee TV’s Jamai Raja (Sagar Pictures). Well, he’s come in from yesterday’s episode wherein he was shown to be Misha Garewal’s (Sumona Chakravarthi) boy friend, Neel. Talking about his next big show, Punit told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I am back as a performer. I am always on the lookout for roles where one can get an opportunity to perform. Qubool Hai actually set the standards high for me, as that was a brilliant platform to get. Even though I played a psycho-lover, people loved my character and my performance. After Qubool Hai, I was looking for something meaty and I picked up the best. It’s a great feeling to be part of Jamai Raja.” Talking about his character in Jamai Raja, Punit stated, “Well, it’s still early days and I don’t think I can talk much on the character. All I can say is that Neel loves Misha a lot, and wants her, in a good sense though.” For Punit, his journey so far in the small screen has been eventful. “It’s so very important to get an author-backed role on TV. With experience, I have learnt that as an actor, you have let your acting do the talking. In simple words, it is important to gain respect through one’s performances on-screen.” Way to go, Punit!! Wish you all the very best for this new journey…
