Ashmit Patel, one of the prominent faces of Zee TV’s Amma, is suffering from eye infection.

And the entire episode has left him teary eyed, not personally, but professionally.

He shared, “I hurt my eye badly last December. Unknowingly, while in my deep sleep, a kada on my wrist hit my eye cornea and I scratched it mistakenly. After that incident I had to take a lot of precautions like avoid working in heat, stress and inadequate sleep.” 

He continued, “Yesterday, while shooting the climax scene for my film Dongri Ka Raja, the scorching heat took toll on my body. At the end of the day, my eyes turned watery and I couldn’t open my eyes the next morning. My doctor has given me eye drops and has asked to rest and sleep. But due to shoot commitment, I had to return to the set.” 

He later added, “Due to my eye injury I am not allowed to apply glycerine in my eyes, so whenever there is any emotional scene in Amma, I cry naturally.”
