As against most reality shows aimed at only either the supremely talented or at celebrities this one comes as a whiff of fresh air. For the first time ever there comes a reality focused on those who are disadvantaged. Yet to be titled, this show is likely to be aired from January on Star One. Commenting on its nature, Executive VP and GM, Star One, Ravi Menon says, “We haven’t come up with a name for this show. We will be conducting auditions among the general public, who will talk about their financial problems in life. Out of this lot, three needy people will be selected to participate in the show. Once on stage they will tell the viewers of the financial difficulties in their lives. The one who manages to convince the audience and the viewers (sms) will win Rs. 5 lakh.” He adds, “It’s an in-house show of Star One. We are in the initial stages thus we haven’t decided on any hosts or judges. We shall throw more light on it once everything is finalized.” This is one opportunity which needs to be cashed.
