MUMBAI: A lot of shows have come and gone in the year 2022 while some shows that started in that year has survived and are still running. However, there are a lot of serials that have running since a long time and have captured the hearts of the audience.

Daily soaps and their characters have become a part of household for a lot of viewers. Currently, Anupamaa, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and other serials are ruling the BARC.

The actors of all of these are very active on social media where they post behind-the-scenes clips, reels and moments from their personal life and therefore, it makes the fans very excited to know more about the shows and the actors.

As a result, netizens point out a lot of things that they notice and nothing is overlooked.

Netizens have also pointed out this time how daily soaps have their own ‘seasons of the year’. A lot of shows like Meet Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Pandya Store etc are going for a leap. Check out what the netizens have to say about it.

Ganga Shah – It’s funny how all the serials I switch to have almost the same thing going on. Right now there’s time leap happening in almost all the shows. It’s not that it all happens together but I have noticed that if one show does it, there will be a lot of other shows following the trail and soon it becomes like a trend. I don’t know if this is planned or just something that inspires all the show makers to follow.

Bhavna Rai – I have noticed that Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya have a lot of differences when it comes to the characters and their chemistry but the storyline matches a lot of times. Currently, there’s going to be a time leap in both the shows. Previously, there was time leap in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and before that, it was Imlie and Yeh Hai Chahatein. I think it’s a refresh button.

Rohini Deshpande – I feel serials have a separate weathers. It’s wedding, separation, time leaps, generation leaps. What I’m trying to say is that, one serial will go for time leap and all the other serials will follow. Earlier, it was wedding track and now it’s the time leap track. Pandya Store, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, all are following the trend.

Kshitija Prasad – I am seeing a lot of people observe this and pointing out and I so agree with it. It just becomes very boring when we see that all the long running serials have a trend to follow and every serial we switch to is going through the same thing. I mean we are switching because we want to see something different, not something same. The generation leap started with Imlie or Udaariyaan and now all the other shows are following it too. Before this, there was a wedding track that had happened in all of the long running shows. There are also separation tracks that follow after time leaps.
