Being a dancer, I would love to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa: Radhika Madan

Stunning Radhika Madan who is currently playing the lead in Colors' Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi has undeniably made a mark on Indian television with her acting debut and the newbie is surely a competition for the newcomers. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the gracious actress shared her love for dance and how she is juggling between acting and studies. Initially you were into dance and now you have turned an actor. How has the transition been? Radhika shared, “It is very difficult for me because I am completely new in this field. I am giving my 100 percent. Every day is like a new journey; I am still discovering myself as an actor.” So which one is better, acting or dancing? She quipped, “I think dancing, because it is my passion and makes me feel happy. In simple words, I can't stop dancing. Even though I am acting I dance when I get free time; nothing is really exciting than dancing for me, but both are challenging. In acting, facial expressions are important and in dance you need to work on your body moves.” How do you manage your studies and acting? “I am studying B.com through correspondence, so whenever I get time I study although it doesn’t demand much time,” said Radhika. Would you like to do any reality show? She averred, “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’would be great. As I love dancing, I would love to participate in a dance reality show. I will always be super excited in accepting offers for reality shows. I always had a dream of participating in a reality show as a choreographer but now I can participate as a contestant which is even more exciting.” So tell us about your equation with your co-actors? “All my co-actors are very supportive and kind; even with all the experience, they are very down to earth. We work as a team, and I share a very good bonding with them. They actually act as an inspiration for me,” said Radhika. She continued, “Shakti (Arora) is great fun to work with. Right now we have some close scenes, but we laugh so much that the set boys find it difficult to shoot the scenes. Even the comic scenes are way funnier off-set. The chemistry we share off screen is beautiful, we pull each other’s leg and this makes our on-screen chemistry look more appealing and attractive for the audience.” How similar is Radika to Ishani? “When it comes to basic values and taking a stand for the family I am like Ishani, but in real life I am a party animal. I am a very straight forward person; if I feel something I will say it on the face,” said Radhika. Are you seeing anyone? She quipped, “No, I am not dating anyone, as I am too young and want to focus on my career.” When asked about her ideal man the beautiful actress said, “I want a guy who is good in nature. Every time when he says ‘I love you’, he should genuinely mean it. For me looks and money don’t matter but a guy’s nature and love does matter.” Are you comfortable with on-screen intimacy? “It depends upon the requirement of the script,” stated the actress. Who do you think is a better actress in TV? She said, “Honestly before coming into this industry, I had not watched daily soaps, and hence did not have any idea. In Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor is my role model.” If given a chance to work for any Bollywood movie remake which would it be? Radhika expressed, “I would love to work in Jab We Met remake as I loved the bubbly and fun loving character of Kareena in the movie and I really want to work with Imtiaz Ali.” Any message to your fans? “I hope that I keep entertaining the audience and live up to their expectations. I thank all my fans for appreciating, loving and accepting me as an actor,” ended Radhika. Well said, Radhika!!
