MUMBAI: The queen of comedy Bharti Singh who is leading the standup comedians on &TV’s Comedy Dangal has recruited four strong soldiers on her side now – Abhijit Ganguly, Amit Tondon, Manan Desai and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia. Known for their distinct brand of stand-up comedy, these artists have geared up to give muh-tod jawaab to the skit team led by Anu Malik! Abhijit Ganguly also referred as ‘Bappi Lahiri’ in the stand-up circle is known to rake up serious issues and deal with them in a hilarious manner which is LOL-worthy. Joining him is Delhi ka munda popularly known as ‘The Married Guy’ of stand-up circuit, Amit Tondon. Along with them, Jeeveshu Ahulwalia who is also popularly known as the ‘Salman Khan of the fat world’ and Manan Desai who is known for his stoic expressions and amazing comic timing will be attacking the skit comedian team with their one liners and quirky jokes. With these four comedy crusaders making their way to Comedy Dangal, &TV viewers are definitely going to get a heavy dose of laughter.

Amit Tandon said, “As a stand-up comedian only social media sites like You Tube was a platform for me to reach people. Comedy Dangal is a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent on television as well. Coming from HR background, stand-up comedy was only like a hobby to me, when I started going to open nights and performing, people actually started liking my jokes, that’s when I started performing in clubs and other events. I took up stand-up comedy as a profession and put a smile on a million faces which also turned out to be profitable for me.”

Abhijit Ganguly added, “Being a Bengali born in Delhi and raised in Bangalore, I can easily connect to a variety of audience and also relate to their lives. I would really love to make a unique identity for myself on Comedy Dangal where as a stand-up comedian, I bring up issues related to the middle-class people and present them in a humorous manner which will help these people to tackle their problems with a laughter.”

Jeevashu Ahulwalia, mentioned “I am a kind of person who believes in originality and not in scripted comedy. The best part about Comedy Dangal is that we can use our own original material for Stand Up comedy rather than following any script. I am really excited and looking forward to give my best performance on Comedy Dangal.”

Manan Desai, further added “Comedy Dangal is the first ever show which will bring internet humor on television. It’s like bringing the best of two worlds on one platform. Previously, viewers have seen me doing comedy on television but that was not stand-up for which I am actually known. Comedy Dangal will give me that chance to showcase my personal experiences through stand-up.”
