MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently one of the most popular TV serials. With its intriguing tale and beautiful performances of the cast, the show has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the television screens.

The show stars Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the lead roles of Naira and Kartik respectively and their on-screen chemistry is immensely popular among viewers.

The character of Naira is loved by one and all and has become a household name and Shivangi Joshi has become one of the topmost actresses on television.

But before Shivangi came into the picture, there were few actresses who were offered the role of Naira but they rejected it for some or the other reasons.

1 Tina Dutta

Tina was offered the role of Naira but she refused because post doing the serial Uttran she didn’t want to be a part of any family drama.

2. Sanaya Irani

When Sanaya was offered the role she denied it as she didn’t want to play the second lead to Hina Khan.

3. Ishita Dutta

The reason why Ishita didn’t do the role of Naira is still unknown but seems like she has lost the opportunity of a lifetime.

4. Roopal Tyagi

Rupal showed interest in doing the role but since her weight was a little high the project didn’t work for her and that’s why she could not be a part of YRKKH.

5. Digangana Suryavanshi

Digangna refused to do the role as she wanted a break from television and was focusing on her career in Bollywood.

Well, in the end, the role was bagged by Shivangi Joshi and the fans feel she is the perfect choice for the role and no one could do justice to Naira the way she did.

No doubt that it’s a big loss for these actresses and it’s a lifetime role that they missed out on!
