With the season of new shows being launched, sadly there are several shows that will see a closure.

Earlier in the day, Tellychakkar.com reported about Sony TV’s Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya going off air. And now we have news of Colors’ popular historical drama Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat also reaching its climax.

The Contiloe Productions drama that launched amidst much fanfare touched viewers’ heart instantly with Siddharth Nigam playing the young warrior prince. With the show taking a leap, Mahadev of TV, Mohit Raina, was roped in to play the titular role.

With the daily currently focussing on Ashoka’s love life and the way he fought for his kingdom, it will soon exhaust the story and thus the makers have decided to pull its curtain down.

Shared a source, “We have already presented all angles that were there in Ashoka’s life. This is a historical drama; we cannot cook up tracks to keep it going. We will progress towards a logical and reality driven end.”

From what we hear, the team will wrap up their shoot by end of this month, and the last telecast date as per now has been decided as 7 October.

There is a buzz that Shashi Sumeet Productions’ Sangharsh that stars Rashami Desai, Siddharth Shukla and Jasmin Bhasin will take its slot. Although there is no confirmation on the same.

We buzzed the producer Abhimanyu Singh and the channel representative but did not get any revert till the time of filing the story.
