Rain is a synonym to romance and happiness but it also has its cons. Its side effect is not only faced by the Mumbai roads and traffic but also by the entertainment industry especially television. 

Outdoor shoots and scenes become difficult because they depend mostly on the whims of the weather. The day is planned according to the weather. However things are not as easy as they sound. It is a tedious task to plan the shooting schedule depending on the weather especially when things change so rapidly and when it is not possible for the weather de[partment to correctly forecast it.

Nivedita Basu's Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi set was victim to the heavy downpour and as a result the entire set was destroyed. The sudden weather change and untimely rain ravaged the set. The crew didn’t even get the time to cover or take any precautions which would allow them to resume the shoot after rains. 

Our source reveals, “Everyone was ready, the cast, crew and the moment. We were to start off with the shoot, the lights went off. After quite some time the lights came in and everyone was on the set, but before the director could say ‘action’ it started raining and that too heavily. From a decent, clear weather to heavy rains, it was an unexpected turn. It was so sudden that nothing could be shifted inside or under cover. Everything, the entire set-up got destroyed. It was only the next day that we shot, as we had to prepare for the indoor shoot. A few lakhs were blown away, rather washed away in the rains.”
