MUMBAI : Iram Badar Khan is an Indian actress and model. She is known for participation in television reality show MTV Roadies Xtreme in 2018. She most recently appeared in MX Player's Shiksha Mandal, produced by Piyush Gupta. She is originally from New Delhi.

Iram did her early education from New Delhi based Frank Anthony Public School and later pursued Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi. Initially, she participated in various plays and acting workshops in Delhi, NCR.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know some interesting insights.

You have been a part of MTV Roadies. What was that experience like?

“I have had a series of very good lucks in my life. Funny thing was I don’t follow reality TV and had not seen Roadies before. My parents were also not letting me go to Mumbai and pursue acting. They weren’t completely against it but they just felt that there is no future in this. Back in 2018, I was just thinking how I could convince my parents to let me go. I am a fitness enthusiast and I do powerlifting. I have done MMA as well. One of my friends suggested Roadies to me and coincidently, I had posted a video of me doing some heavy workout. That is how I got a call. I did not go through an interview process. I went on the show and did a task to become a part of the show. I won and I was in.”

Do you wish to explore reality TV more?

“I don’t wish to go back to it because I love cinema and I wish to act. Reality TV is not acting. Roadies just happened. I haven’t even seen myself on the show. I was so young and naive. I was in a different zone. I got the offer and I went for it.  I do not wish to do it again. I want to perform and that is something I will not get to do there.”

What kind of characters and platforms do you wish to explore?

“I wish to explore all the platforms which allow me to perform, be it movies or web series. I wish to portray any character that is interesting. I want to become an actress in the action-genre because I would love to do action packed content. That is why I am training myself accordingly in fitness and martial arts. I would like to do characters that are contrasting from each other. I want to live every character.”
