Exclusive: Iqbal Khan to play the lead in &TV’s Waaris

&TV's next big ticket show Waaris, produced by Ashvini Yardi's Vini Yard Films has already roped in the elegant and versatile actress Aarti Singh as the lead face. Now, we get to hear of the popular hunk Iqbal Khan being finalized to play the male lead opposite Aarti. Yes, Iqbal who was last seen in Sony TV's Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do has apparently given his consent to doing the project. Tellychakkar.com had exclusively reported about the show having the backdrop of Punjab, and that it will dwell upon how the male kids are given more importance than the girl kids in families. We had also reported exclusively about Aarti Singh and Gaurav Sharma of Jodha Akbar fame being finalized. The interesting aspect and coincidence for Iqbal is that he has earlier worked on the show titled Waaris, which was produced by Smriti Irani. We tried contacting Iqbal but could not get to him.
