With Valentine’s Day soon approaching, people smitten by love have already started making plans to woo their beloved with expensive gifts, special dates, vacations etc. February is also a very special month for talented actress Karuna Pandey who is seen as Padmini on Zindagi’s Bhaage Re Mann that airs every Monday to Saturday at 8:30 PM, as it’s a month where she celebrates 3 very special days. The first and most obvious being Valentine’s Day, the second being her husband Rutwij Vaidya’s birthday on 19^th February and the third is her wedding anniversary on 20^th February.

A romantic at heart, Karuna kick-starts her February celebrations on Valentine’s Day with her loving husband and close friends and the revelries continue till the day of their anniversary. Valentine’s Day has always been a special occasion for the actress, in fact back in her college days she would make soft toys and gift them to her special friends. Apart from the regular gifting, Karuna has always enjoyed creating something special on her own and her husband believes in the same philosophy. On their first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife last year, Rutwij who is a good artist, had painted series of t-shirts for Karuna with special messages which she greatly cherishes. He had also recorded a song especially for his beloved wife, a gesture which she hopes to reciprocate someday. 

This year too, Karuna has a plan to celebrate the most romantic day of the year and start her February celebrations. Revealing her plans, she said, “This year I am really excited that Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday which means that I get to spend the whole day with my husband. I plan to bake a nice dry fruit cake, and go on a long drive with Rutwij and our pets. I love to cook and since Rutwij loves Indian food, I will probably cook him a special fusion meal a la Karuna style with a soya & coconut curry and momos with pudina chutney.”
