Life OK’s cookery reality show Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawaazi Ki (Miditech) seems to be in the news for all the wrong reasons. First it was Ragini Khanna who was upset with the creatives and her co contestants and her mother, Kamini Khanna, vented out against the channel and the production house in a conversation with Tellychakkar.com. Now it is the turn of luscious beauty Gizele Thakral (last seen on Star Plus’ Survivor India). This supermodel, who will be seen in this week’s episode of Baazi along with Amar Uphadhyay, Debina Bonnerjee, Dimpy Mahajan and Karanvir Bohra, is super miffed with her co contestants. Talking about the episode when her group went to Amar’s (Upadhyay’s) house she shared, “I was surprised by the behavior of Dimpy and Debina, they were so jealous and always eager to put me down. I had worn a short skirt just like any young girl my age would wear. I always like to dress up but in a nice sophisticated way. We all know that Debina and Dimpy wear sexy and short dresses in their personal lives, yet when they saw me they acted as if they have not seen a short dress in their entire life before and were shocked. They kept commenting on my long legs.” Here sources added that Dimpy was also trying to sneak inside Gizele’s skirt like any man would do. When we asked her? Did it happen… Gizel said, “I don’t know why she did that.” Coming to the guys, Gizele who markets luxury brand in India and UAE stated, “Karanvir Bohra was really flirting with me and both Dimpy and Debina were trying to provoke him further. He was after my lips trying to give a flying kiss. It was sad that a very much married man was talking so sexually. It did not end there as when we had to ask questions, Karanvir’s query to us girls was would we sleep around for money.” When asked about Amar’s hospitality, she said, “He was a perfect host and never tried to flirt, knowing that he was a married man. Having said that he did play Narad Muni, i.e, he would praise me and then also tell certain things to Debina which would make her more insecure.” Talking about his food she added, “He served simple Gujarati meal and I am not a lover of the same. But yes, I did like his Undhiyu.” So how much did you rank him? “I can’t reveal that but I was much impressed by his Mehmaan Nawazi. The way he took care of us and served food.” Gizele who has also done modeling in Europe further stated that, “she can’t understand why the show is so much about back bitching.” “I thought it was supposed to be about food. I have seen the British version of Come Dine With Me, that was completely different. When I signed the dotted line, I knew that a certain amount of desi tadka would be added, but this was a bit too much. I expected something else but it turned out differently.” She also did not think that creatives told Karanvir, Debina and Dimpy to talk in the above provocative manner. “Nobody would tell you to talk like that. And at the end of the day you are responsible for what you say and how you react.”
