After doing big budget film like Student Of The Year with Bollywood biggies, dashing actor Sahil Anand is all set to impress us on small screen with his role as Dr. Nikhil Kapoor in Life OK’s latest venture Roshni (Pulse Media).
Recently we engaged into a candid conversation session with the actor and quizzed him about opting for this role and Sahil quickly replied, “I belong from a family of doctors and everyone in the family wanted me to become one. But I decided to opt for engineering, so now that I am to doing this role I hope my family members will be happy.”
“On a serious note, I felt that instead of melo-drama Roshni focuses on real issues, which I found interesting. Moreover, majority of the cast and crew members are from film background so, it is indeed a good opportunity for me to learn a lot of things from seniors,” added the actor.
So, how did you prepare for your role? “We were provided with special training sessions, where we met and spent time with medical professionals in a hospital, watched them working around the clock. Even now, we are guided by a panel of doctors, who advice us whenever needed.”
We also asked him with many medical dramas been made in the past whether there he was scared of any comparison or not. And this time again Sahil’s candid reply impressed us. “Most of them had been good shows but those later on turned to youth romantic dramas. Though this show will also focus on doctors’ personal life but will not deviate from its original theme.”
Finally, how much lucky do you consider yourself that you have been a part in big ticket many projects? “Well, luck factor is always there but hard work really matters. I firmly believe that without hard work it would not have been possible to get some good offers and taste success.”
As Sahil gears up for his debut serial we wish the young lad all the best.
