BBC Worldwide Productions India and Writer turned Producer Saba Mumtaz will jointly produce a love story for Life OK. Come this July (2013), this enticing love story of a stern man and a simple-going girl will be on air. The show tentatively titled ‘Ek Bhoond Ishqiya’ will somewhat be on the lines of the hit Star One show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi in the broader sense, that a man who is stern and a tough nut to crack will fall in love with a girl-next-door. Over to the cast, we hear that Chhavi Pandey will, in all likelihood, essay the lead protagonist’s role. However, the male lead has not been locked yet, and sources inform us that popular men of the TV industry Viraf Phiroz Patel and Harshad Chopda are in the reckoning to bag the lead role. Both have apparently given their mock shoots along with Chhavi, and the channel and makers are yet to zero in on the male face they want to opt for. We tried calling Viraf, but he was unavailable. We sent text messages to Harshad and even Chhavi, but did not get any reply. We also dropped a text message to Writer and Producer Saba Mumtaz, but did not get any revert till the time we filed the story. Our source at BBC too refused to comment on the same. After all this, we took a chance to drop a text message to Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK but did not get any reply. Watch this space for more updates on this piece of news.
