The cast of Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar has seen a casualty. The actor who has thrown in the towel is Balaji loyalist Chetan Hansraj.

And he has parted on not such an amicable note. His exit was a dramatic one. Informs a source from the set: “During a shot Chetan lost his cool, ripped off his costume and said ‘f*#k you guys. He was very upset of late. The incident happened three days back. ”

Whoa!!! So what led to such an outburst? 

To find the truth we buzzed Chetan and he opened up in an exclusive chat with Tellychakkar.com.

“Balaji is like a family. I have been working with them since the last ten years now. However, I have had a very bad experience in Jodha Akbar,” said Chetan in anger.

He continued: “I was promised 20 days of shoot every month, but was called for only three to four days. That’s certainly not done. I have a family to look after. I have been with the show since the beginning. But I was cheated inspite of being so loyal and patient. My character was going nowhere. Shalu (associate creative head) was the reason I continued with the show post leap. But it was all empty promises leading to nothing. Each day became humiliating to shoot, thus I quit. I am a senior actor and one should respect my integrity. Shalu had no idea how to carve my character of Adham Khan.” 

He is surely angry.

So what about his outburst on the set? “Yes, I had it. So that was it. Due to my commitment to Jodha, I let go many good offers.”  

He has been off the sets since the last three days now. So did anyone try to connect from Balaji side? “None, which is really shocking. Now, I don’t wish to talk to anyone. But one thing I would want to add, that if actors are unhappy, it reflects in the show’s TRPs as well. All the best to team Jodha Akbar.”

We dropped a text message to Producer Ekta Kapoor but she did not reply till the time of filing the article.
