I don't know why such a hue and cry was made over Karan reacting to my romantic scenes with Rode - Jennifer Winget

Jennifer Winget
Jennifer Winget is simply enjoying playing Kumud in Star Plus’ popular show, Saraswatichandra (Sphere Origins). Talking about her journey, the talented actress said, “It has been a steady growth. But her roots are unchanged. She was and is still is a very strong woman who stands by her principles. She is ready to sacrifice as well, but will do it only if she is convinced. She is not a door mat.” Here Jennifer admits that she had not read the famous Gujarati novel by the same name written by Govardharam Tripathi (on which the show is based) and goes strictly by the interpretation given to her by her creative team. The show had started with low ratings but has since picked up. “I guess the pace of the story initially was a bit slow. Once we hastened that, things got better.” However, Jennifer is very frank in telling that she does not want to put any blame on the earlier producer (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) for the slow start. “We all learn the hard way. But it is also a fact that lot of people had first tuned in to see what Sanjay sir will do on TV as well.” Looking ahead Jennifer who at the moment is quite busy with Saraswatichandra said, “In the future l would love to do an action role, for till now I have done only bahu beti kind of characters.” She also does not rule out Bollywood offers, and is ready to take up challenging roles. In closing, we asked Jennifer about the recent comments by her husband Karan Singh Grover which suggested that he is unhappy with her getting closing with co-star Gautam Rode on screen. “Any husband will say what he did. I don’t know why such a hue and cry was made over it. Even he is an actor and does the same thing.” We then jumped to the major question to know Jennifer’s reaction on hubby Karan restricting her to doing certain romantic scenes with Rode, and she immediately stopped us saying, “No personal questions.” We get it, Jennifer!!
