MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Baalveer Returns recently took a major turn with Baalveer’s death.

Post Baalveer’s death a few of his lookalikes were introduced in the show. One of them is Kaal. Kaal is an evil power who wants to rule the universe. Dev Joshi who played Baalveer/ Debu essays the role of Kaal. The transition from a superhero to an evil force is something that the audience is loving. TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Dev and quizzed him about playing the negative character of Kaal with so much ease. “Kaal is quite a cold-blooded and an extremely dark character who is straightforward and ruthless. Kaal aims at ruling the seven universes. The character is negative in nature and also a first-time experiment for me. To get into the feel of the character and maintain the same for long hours of the shoot, I keep my make-up room dark and play intense music while I am in my make-up room. It really helps me get the mood of the character,” he said.

He further added, “Also, I try to stay silent on the sets and don’t mingle much with cast and crew to maintain the mood and stay in the zone as Kaal. It’s quite challenging and exhausting but I’m enjoying every bit of it.”
