The talented and super entertaining VJ Andy is back on your TV screens with his show Dare 2 Date 3. The show that made Andy a household name couple of years back has been revived by Channel V to spice up the drab TV space. Andy, on his part, looked gung-ho about his return. Said a visibly excited Andy, "The show is my baby, my brainchild. Hence I was very sure of being a part of it whenever it returned. And here I am with a bang all set to bring a lot of fun with this interesting and exciting show." When asked what different factors one will get to see on the show this time, the VJ replied, "Earlier we used to decide on the dates but I felt the participants too should be given a chance to chose their dates. Although I won’t let out details about the process, all I can tell you is that it won't be an easy one for sure. This development will bring a very interesting twist in the show and you watch it to experience the fun." And will one get to see a change in Andy too? "Earlier when I did the show as a VJ of the channel I was expected to behave in a certain way, but now that I am known across GECs I have a different audience who I would also need to cater. As for my personality that cannot be changed. I have to be both bitchy as well as nice. It’s like playing angel and devil at the same time," said Andy. While Andy and his antics became a huge hit, there were some who hated him for apparently being rude and discouraging. When quizzed, Andy quipped, “People might say I am rude, but I can never pass derogatorily comments. I affectionately mock them at times. But after the show ended, whenever I met any of the contestants outside they have greeted me with outmost love and that is a great thing. I play cupid, the match maker in the show and it’s up to decide how to make the date interesting." The show also helped in popularising the trend of dating. Speaking on the same, Andy said, "Dating is considered a taboo in our country. But this funny show helped lighten up the dating process. Now people are opened to the culture of dating and it is quite normal in our lives too. But this season will give dating a new andaaz completely." No reality show ever escapes reports of being scripted. However, Andy rubbished such claims and defended Dare 2 Date 3 against such accusations, "These youngsters are very new and raw. They do not have so much talent that they can act so well. And if they think I can write such a script, I think I should be getting an Academy award next for this,’ quipped Andy. The show will be completely based in Delhi this time. Commenting on the same, Andy said, "Although I wish the show could have been taken to various cities, people in Delhi are less inhibited and there are some real characters. Also since Mumbai is more industry driven, the makers wanted to keep it away. Hopefully we will go to various other cities in the coming seasons." On a concluding note, when we asked Andy who his ideal date would be, the charming guy replied, "Earlier I might have told Madhuri Dixit but after having met her I would choose someone else. I feel Shraddha Kapoor will turn out to be a very intelligent actress, so maybe I would go out with her. But if it has to be a unique date, I think I will take Karan Johar as he is not only very intelligent but also very witty.” Wonder what KJO has to say about Andy’s unique wish.
