TellyChakkar got in touch with Manuraj and asked him about how his journey began with Divyansh and whom he sees as the winner of the show.

Your talent is very unique. It is a mixture of Indian and Western. How did you guys meet and create this jugalbandi?

I had come with my sister for the show, but then due to some issue, she had to leave and I couldn’t perform with her. Divyansh then came into the picture. I knew him from before. We used to speak on phone, but we never thought we would work together. The makers told me to team up with Divyansh as my partner could not perform.

What are your future plans post IGT?

Post IGT, we have decided to do more shows. My guru has taught me classical music. That has now been connected to with Western music (beatboxing). This needs to be promoted, and I will present whatever I have learnt from my guru about Indian classical dance in front of the audience. We will tour in India and abroad without wasting any time.

If not you, then whom do you see as the winner of IGT and why?

Well, if not us, I don’t see anyone as winners. We have worked really hard to be here. Why would we want anyone else to win and take the trophy home?
