Tellychakkar.com reported exclusively about the second of the trilogy ‘super hero’ series titled ‘Devi’ to hit TV screens very soon on Zee TV.

We had reported about popular dancer turned actress Shakti Mohan being in contention for bagging the lead role of Devi, the woman with super power.

We now have more information on the cast to have joined the series.

Popular actor Indraneil Sengupta will make a comeback to TV post his cameo stint in Tumhari Paakhi with Zee TV’s upcoming series. Another actress to have been roped in happens to be Kamalika Guha Thakurta.

As per a reliable source, “Indraneil has been brought in to play the central negative lead. Kamalika will be seen playing the guardian of the female protagonist, a lady who would be more or less like her mother.”

When contacted, Indraneil who rose to limelight with his TV series Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha Ek Shyam told us, “Talks are certainly on, but there is no confirmation yet.”

We could not get through to Kamalika though.

As we know, Devi will kick-start post the culmination of Maharakshak Aaryan. The second series is produced by Esselvision Productions, with Nilanjana Purkyasstha creatively heading the team.
