MUMBAI: Ishqbaaaz is one of the most loved shows on television and has the audience hooked to the screen since its launch. The storyline is gripping, edgy, and filled with suspense and thrills.

The ongoing track is that of Nancy’s murder mystery and how Shivaay is trying to prove himself innocent. If you have closely observed, the current track is quite similar to the story of Ajnabee starring Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. Since the entry of Nancy and Mohit on the show, the storyline seems similar to that of the movie.

Ajnabee’s story revolved around Bipasha trying to woo Bobby Deol and him keeping a distance from her. Bobby is drugged as he goes to tell Bipasha’s husband, played by Akshay Kumar, about her motives. He faints over there, and the next day, when he wakes up, he sees the dead body of Bipasha and assumes that he must have killed her. The same thing was shown on Ishqbaaaz. Shivaay comes to Nancy's room, faints, and wakes up to her murder.

As the court proceedings start, Bobby Deol runs away from custody, as does Shivaay. There was a scene when Mohit was seen with some other girl in the serial. Even Bobby had seen Akshay with another woman.

In the latest episode, Shivaay comes to know that Nancy belonged to a poor family, similar to how Bobby was informed about Bipasha being a bar dancer.

So there are so many similarities between the show and the movie. Now, we’ll have to wait and watch to see whether the climax will be the same.

If the show is completely true to the movie, then the climax will reveal that the person who was murdered was Mohit’s actual wife and that Nancy, his girlfriend, is alive. Mohit and Nancy would have planned this to get his wife’s insurance money.
