Kunal Verma down with dengue; replaced by Neeraj Malviya in Sony TV's Hum Hai Na

Kunal Verma and Neeraj Malviya
Kunal Verma seems to have been struck by ill fate of late, with him losing two projects in a row. Earlier, the guy entered Zee TV’s Ek Mutthi Aasmaan as the new male lead opposite Asha Negi. However, the show shut shop soon after he made an entry. Kunal later bagged DJ’s – A Creative Unit’s show on Sony TV, Hum Hai Na as the character of Arindham. But now, it is dengue that has come as a major obstacle. Yes, the actor has been hospitalized from the night of 9 October, after being diagnosed having dengue fever. Since the maker and channel had planned a track revolving around Arindham, they could not grant him leave. Hence, an immediate replacement was brought in. As per sources, the actor coming in now happens to be yet another DJ’s loyalist, Neeraj Malviya. He was last seen in the character of Sahil in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan. When contacted, Kunal confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I was in a pretty bad shape, and that is when I was left with no option but to move out of the show. I am now recovering; I have no fever, body ache and stomach ache. But I will take at least a week or so to get better in health. This is destiny’s play, but I am in talks for another show at the moment. So hoping that all falls in place.” Neeraj, the actor coming in confirmed his entry in the show. “Yes, I know DJ’s and have worked with them earlier. I have started shoot for Hum Hai Na.” We hear that S.J. Studios, where the unit of Hum Hai Na shoot happens to be a breeding place for rats and mosquitoes. And with two actors reported with dengue in a short span of time, the actors we hear have refused to shoot at the place till the time sanitary measures are taken. Kunal told us, “Yes, that’s a place where nobody can live or shoot. They have to eradicate the rats and mosquitoes out there.”
