A page from the personal diary of Manasi Salvi Hello everyone, this is Manasi Salvi whom you all know as Avantika from Star Plus’ show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara... Let me commence by taking a “flashback” route. Born and bought up in Mumbai, I stay with my husband (Hemant Prabhu) and my four and half year old cute little daughter (Omisha). Having completed my schooling from Holy Cross High School, Mumbai, I finished my college life at Vaze Kelkar College of Commerce. Later, I also pursued my post graduation from Mumbai University. On the professional side, let me share that I am a trained Bharat Natyam and Kuchipudi classical dancer. Since I used to do a lot of stage shows, I had my portfolio shot. It so happened once that my photographer sent my pictures to Lintas Advertising. So much did they like my photos that they immediately got me my first advertisement assignment by way of a Vim Bar ad. After that, I got a chance to play a lead role as Preeti in Zee TV’s Aashirwad. Then there was no looking back for me. I did several shows like Zee TV’s Koi Apna Sa, Saarrthi, Pavitra Rishta, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and also did a Marathi film. My journey till now has been very good. Initially, I have been through a lot of struggle, but have always been lucky enough to get diverse roles. In all, I am satisfied with whatever I have done in the last 17 years. Let me tell you a secret, I have never gone to a production house asking them for a role in their show. To sum up, television has given me everything from the shows I have done… to my husband. Currently, I am lucky to be part of Rajshri Productions. Now, a little on the personal front. Entire day I shoot and the evenings I spend with my husband and daughter. To unwind myself, I like to travel. In fact, yesterday I came back from Hong Kong. I also get into dancing whenever I get time. The best moment of my life was when I got married to Hemant and when I got a daughter. So this was my journey… Thank you every one for liking me…
