Mantra and Sayantani roped in for Shashi Sumeet's next on Sony TV

RJ Mantra and Sayantani Ghosh

Currently comedy fiction shows are ruling TV space.

To double the laughter quotient, Shashi Sumeet Productions is all set to launch its upcoming fiction romcom show for Sony Entertainment Television (as reported by us first).

The show will be based on a small town ladies’ tailor whose wife will die at a very young age and villagers will ask him to get re-married. But being madly in love with his late wife, he would refuse to get wedded. However, after sometime he would realize that he needs a partner to live life. The crux of the story will be the manner in which a new woman will enter his life and how he will deal with her.

The role of the tailor will be played by versatile RJ Mantra.

It seems 2016 truly belongs to the talented Mantra. The actor cum comedian has bagged two more projects, SAB TV’s Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto Season 2 as a co-host with Smriti Kalra and Pro Kabaddi League 2016.

Coming back to the Sony TV show, the character of the wife will be portrayed by the Bengali beauty Sayantani Ghosh.

We tried calling Sayantani but she remained unavailable to comment.

We also buzzed Mantra, who shared, “I am very happy that 2016 has begun on a very good note. I am glad to host Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto which was earlier hosted by my good friend Cyrus (Sahukar). Talking about Shashi Sumeet’s show, talks are on and nothing is confirmed yet.”

We tried contacting Producer Sumeet Mittal for a comment, and also the channel spokesperson, but did not get any revert.
