Pehredaar Piya Ki is all about highlighting the courage and strength that women possess. In the show, Diya (played by Tejasswi Prakash) goes against all odds of the society and turns Ratan Singh’s (played by Affan Khan) “protector” by marrying him. However, during the Muh Dikhayi ceremony, Diya will be facing severe humiliation from Ratan Singh’s family. And as they hurl insults at her, Ratan takes the onus to bring a smile on her face.

Sakshi (played by Meenu Panchal) impersonates Diya and Shivani (played by Simran Natekar) impersonates Ratan as they sing and dance during the ceremony to insult Diya. Amidst the song and dance sequence, the undercurrent of Diya’s tension and emotions have been spectacularly captured. Diya will be seen taking the insult with a pinch of salt with the sole aim of protecting Ratan. On the other hand, Ratan Singh saves her day by gifting something that no one in the family had expected. He will be seen applying Sindoor in Diya’s forehead as a completion of the ritual.

While the upcoming episodes will have Diya facing many challenges and difficulties, it will also showcase how Diya stands strong and continues to be Ratan Singh’s protector. Pehredaar Piya Ki is an attempt to portray that women can also take on the responsibility of a protector efficiently.
