Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar

MUMBAI: Pallavi Kulkarni, who was last seen in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, has kept away from television for around six years now. The actress confesses that there is a dearth of good offers, and has been spending time at home due to the pandemic.

Pallavi said, “My son was only a year old when I acted in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar. After the show wrapped up, I wanted to take a break and spend time with my son. But now that he is almost eight years old, I would like to resume work. Unfortunately, all the offers seem to have dried up.”.

The actress added, “I haven't received anything exciting in the past few years. After Itna Karo, I took a break and I refrained from stepping out in the last two years due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, it seems that after I took a break for my son, makers assumed that I wasn’t interested in acting again. I want to return and do something interesting now. I am a Maharashtrian and it would be great if I can work in Marathi films or shows. I did a few projects on alternative mediums, but TV show makers haven't approached me with anything exciting.”.

Pallavi further said that she spent a lot of time with her family in the past year. “I feel you land an interesting project when it is destined. In the last one year, it was a catch-22 situation; you felt trapped inside your home and when you finally stepped out, you heard some close friend getting infected and going through a bad time, so you again went back to living a secluded life. My parents also moved in with me during the pandemic and we spent a lot of time together.”, she said.

On being asked about any TV shows that she has watched lately, Pallavi revealed, “I don't watch television at all. I spend time with my parents playing board games and doing yoga in my free time. My son is at home studying, so I am always around him. I have seen some interesting web shows, but haven't seen anything interesting on television.”.
