My real victory in Jhalak would be to awaken the dancer in me again - Roopal Tyagi

Roopal Tyagi

The stage of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (BBC & Colors) is all set to welcome three new contestants!

Popular and beautiful Roopal Tyagi will be seen taking up the challenge as a wild card along with Anita Hassanandani and Neha Marda.

Talking about the offer, the lovely lady answered our queries on why she chose to enter the show midway. “I did not give it a deep thought actually. I was in Bangalore shooting for my film. And as soon as I wrapped the shoot, I received a call for Jhalak. With the timing being perfect I went ahead and here I am entering the show this weekend.”

With a track record of no wild card ever winning, we asked if she feels she can create history. “To be honest I do hope it changes but I am in the show for my love towards dance than anything else. It has been a very long time since I have danced the way it is required in the show. So if I manage to awaken that dancer in myself, I think that would be the real victory for me.”

When quizzed on who according to her is a strong contender in the show, Roopal smiled to say, “Faisal is extremely good. Even though he is so young, he moves like magic.”

Being a fabulous dancer herself, we wondered if she feels the contestants would be insecure of her. “I don’t think so! Firstly they haven’t seen me performing yet and I too, am going to touch that ground after a long time. But with the expectation being there, I think it will all now depend on the performance,” said the actress.

And finally stating her strength and weakness, Roopal said, “I can really pick up steps very fast, hence that adds to my advantage. And with so many acts to be prepared at one go, it is kind of helping me. As for weakness, with the audience already have chosen their favourites, it would be a challenge for me to win them over.”

Aye Aye Roopal...dance your way towards the trophy girl!
