Shashank Vyas, fondly known as Jagya of Colors’ Balika Vadhu is finally back in action in a new avatar in Star Plus’ Jaana Na Dil Se Door (Beyond Dreams).

After essaying the role of a doctor to elan, the young lad is now all set to play an army officer who values his country more than anything else.

Yes, the entry of his character Ravish Vashisth will surely provide fodder for the love triangle to kick-start in the show. And the manner in which his entry will create ripples in the love life of Atharv (Vikram Singh Chauhan) and Vividha (Shivani Surve) will be interesting to watch.

After a gap of 13 months, Shashank shot for his huge entry sequence two days back. The introductory sequence of Ravish will happen with a full kick-ass action sequence, wherein he will be seen on an army mission with his team.

Talking about his character and entry in Jaana, Shashank in an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com said, “My wait has indeed paid off. It’s been a rest for 13 months for me. I signed up this show much earlier, but my entry got delayed. But my very introduction in the show has been really good. I guess this will be the first time on TV that an entry has been shot under such a big canvas. And personally for me, it was lot of hard work, but I had fun throughout the shoot.”

Shashank’s entry sequence was particularly shot in outdoor locations in Mahabaleshwar for two days.

Elaborating on his character, the actor averred, “Ravish is a very sorted army officer who loves his country a lot. He regards women a lot, and places them higher to men. In simple words, he can go to any extent for his country and for the welfare of women.”

When asked about his entry being a third angle to the blossoming love story of Atharv and Vividha, he explained, See, my character has its own flavours. I have my own school of acting. And I will have my own presence in the show. To tell you, I have experienced all this in my previous show too. I am satisfied as an actor, when the director is happy with me.”

Shashank we understood, is actually living his dream by playing an army personel. “It has been my childhood dream of becoming an army officer. I have always loved to put these uniforms and medals. This show actually gives me an opportunity to live my dream. In Balika Vadhu, I portrayed a medical doctor, went on to be shown as a politician. Now playing the role of an army officer makes me happy. When I shot for my introductory sequence, it felt as though I was indeed in army. The sequences were given superb cinematic treatment.”

Shashank for the first time, will be seen with short hair and moustache. “I don’t believe in wearing the artificial moustaches. I have grown moustache for the show. The time I had, helped me keep my body in shape.”

Shashank already feels comfortable as he has found a friend on the set, in Smita Bansal. The actor narrated a cute story to us, “The makers were hunting for a face to play my mother. And I randomly mentioned the name of Smita Bansal who played by mother in Balika Vadhu. However, I later came to know that they had already approached her, and when she got locked, I was very happy. I have a great tuning with her; to find a friend on the set on the very first day gives a good feeling. The show has been on air for three months and has completed 100 episodes. I will be a newcomer on the sets, but to have a friend on set is really nice. Of course, in due course of time, I will get pally with all other actors on the set.”

Talking about the concept and story, he averred, “The prime characters of Atharv and his mother Sujata, Ravish and his mother Suman will be crucial in the story ahead. All of them will be placed in tricky situations. It is a very nice concept and I am happy to be part of the show.”

Lastly, on the sound chemistry being shared by Atharv and Vividha, Shashank replied, “Well, I can see that all my fans are very excited. Also, the fans of Atharv and Vividha are inquisitive about the story ahead. There’s already heated exchange of words happening on Twitter between the fans. For me, we are all playing our parts. When I read all this, I enjoy it and have a smile. It is always good to be talked about. It only shows that there is a keen interest amongst viewers about the show.”

We wish you luck, Shashank!!
