MUMBAI: Narayani Shastri is a very well known television actress around and she has a massive fan following.

She has been around for more than three decades and has been part of many successful shows on television.

The actress has been part of successful shows like Kohi Apna Sa, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kkusum, Piya Ka Ghar, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha.

These days she is seen in the show Laal Banarasi and the audience are loving her in the show.

She has also been part of reality shows like Nach Baliye 2, Zara Nachke Dikha etc.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her about her views on OTT and if she wasn't an actor what would be her career choice

Do you think being an actor one has to be doubly more careful about looks and weight and does that in turn affect the work you get ?

Actors definitely have to be careful of how one looks what we show and how look on screen matters hugely so no matter the character looking pleasant and gentle on the eye is extremely important.

You have always been unabashed about the way you have led your life do you think in today's time when everyone is so guarded and particular how do you manage being you?

Never thought of living a particular way am just living like one is supposed to. I am very careful of my friends and inner circle and they matter whom i do not know why should i get affected by them. I am living like i was taught my mother never cared about society what was important is to be decent human beings and good souls and thats been my motto all through.

How do you think OTT has changed the way of vieweing and content by and large ?

OTT has changed tje ways of viewing a lot one cannot take a TV everywhere but a phone is always available. They can watch anything anytime which i in a way do not recommend because i feel the attention span of people have now become worse than a goldfish. People do not talk and they don't even have the patience to hear anyone out because they are always on their phone every minute of the day almost.

If not an actor what would you have been?

I would have loved to be a dancer or a singer but other than being an actor i really dont think id want to be anything else but if push would have come to shove then maybe the above.

Next where do we get to see you?

I have just wound up my show. I take picking up my shows very seriously because I have to live with them for the longest parts of my day its imperative we are happy with each other. Its a waiting game but worth it in every way...I shall take up something that will be worth this wait.
