Creative Eye’s Neem Neem Shahad Shahad which is based on the importance of a joint family in the Indian society has been grappling to climb up on the TRP chart for quite some time now. If sources are to be believed, after analyzing the progress of the show and coming to a conclusion that things are not going to change for good, the channel (Sahara One) has taken a call and has decided to pull the show off air sometime next month (February 2012). “The channel has decided to replace Neem Neem… with Rajshri Productions’ next Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga,” says a source. The source further adds that since the death of Baa and Hasmuklal’s (Surendra Pal) characters in the show, viewers lost interest and TRPs started falling. The production house thought that the death sequence will hike up ratings, but all plans fell flat and the idea proved to be a big flop. An actor –who chose to be anonymous – from the show told Tellychakkar.com, “I have heard that the show is going off-air. But there’s also a chance that it might get shifted to a late night slot. Currently, in Sahara, after 10pm no fresh content is being aired but only repeat telecasts of shows. So, Neem Neem… might find a slot post 10 pm.” For information, currently the soap is being aired at 9.30pm. We also talked to Amrapali Gupta aka Sonali of Neem Neem … and she said that she has no idea of the serial going off air. Furthermore, Dheeraj Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Creative Eye Ltd, refused to comment anything on the subject. We shall soon come up with more updates on the development!!!
