Well the fans were left spending sleepless nights after reports started doing rounds about the tall and good looking actor Shantanu Maheshwari deciding to quit his popular show Dil Dostii Dance (Cinevistaas Productions) on Channel V. When? What? How? Why? Yes, even we were left puzzled and scratching our head trying to sort this mystery. And well, if you are wondering how this piece of news actually smoked up, let’s give you a lay down of some recent past incidents. The creative head of the show, Palki Malhotra with whom Shantanu shares a very close relation was shown the door, ‘allegedly’ because of her affinity towards him. With co-actors Shakti Mohan and Kunwar Amar supposedly not liking the importance Shantanu was showered in terms of screen time, and complaining to the channel about the same, the lanky guy was left alone when his dear friend Palki, bid farewell to the show. And soon the rumour makers charged on Shantanu spreading news that he too has decided to close the D3 chapter from his book, when his sole pillar of support is no more with him in it. They proclaimed that this was the reason of him quitting the show? But then with the return of Shakti in the show, the spotlight is bound to get back on the love story of the more popular couple Kunwar and Shakti; Shantanu’s character might actually get sidelined in the coming days. Well, this could also be a strong reason, the rumour mongers suggested. But pouring chilling water on all such speculations, Shantanu declared to Tellychakkar.com that he is going nowhere. Sounding a bit disturbed by all these hullabaloo, the actor maintains, “I really don’t want to give any reasons to all these rumours, but would just want to tell my fans that I am not quitting D3. I am very much a part of it, so they need not get anxious.” Well, with such a statement we can surely say that the fans of Shantanu can sigh a relief and celebrate, for their favourite Swayam will continue entertaining them.
