MUMBAI: Sad news for the audience of the television show, Pyaar Ke Papad! The romantic social drama could not manage to strike a chord with the audience and thus it is slated to wrap up on 16 August.

Despite having an interesting storyline and good performances by the cast, the show had to take this call. It is going off air in less than five months. The channel has planned to replace it with a mythological show titled Mata Vaishno Devi.

Meanwhile, Aashay Mishra, who plays the lead role in Pyaar Ke Papad, lost his grandfather yesterday. The shooting was cancelled as the actor had to leave for Raipur.
