The actor proclaims, “A loud shout to all those people who have given me immense love and support in the name of ‘Rahul Arora’… Hereby I am overwhelmed to announce that henceforth, I would expect the same affection and warmth, in fact even more, if you want to, in the name of ‘KHUSHANK ARORA’… Well, that’s my new name, so kindly etch it in your heart!! Gone are the days when Shakespeare said ‘What’s in a name’. It’s indeed time to revolutionize the concept!!”

Wow, nice name, must say!!

But why the name change, we ask him…

To this, the actor explains at length, “It has to do with a psychic phenomenon. See, I was very attached to, and had a special bond with my grandfather whom we lost a few years back. And recently, I have been having these dreams wherein my grandfather, whom I used to call ‘Daddyji’ visited me in a silhouette, and his voice echoed in my ears. I could see only a faint figure of him, but could hear his loud and clear voice… Each time I could hear him summoning me with the name Khush, and I wondered why. Not once but many times in the past couple of months, these incidents have been happening to me.”

He goes on, “Until recently, when I visited a psychic specialist and a numerologist of course, who then studied my kundli and told me that according to my rashi, my name should have begun with ‘Kh’… Then it just struck me that it could be my grandfather’s wish to make me change my name. Thus I stumbled upon this name, Khushank. For the very first time in my life, I visited this numerologist, Bhavikk  Sangghvi who also happens to render his services for many Bollywood celebrities, he checked my name and also recommended the name and gave it a green signal. Thus in the honour of my grandpa, I am overwhelmed to pronounce myself as Khushank Arora and would expect people to pour the same affection and warmth.”
