Raju Srivastav cries foul

We have heard about creative minds from Bollywood ripping off stories and screenplays from Hollywood. But now it seems that Bollywood filmmakers want to break all records in “copying”… oops we mean getting inspired. The latest one to fall prey to the entire “rip-off act” is none other than stand- up comedian and actor Raju Srivastav who is very annoyed with the producers of the film Double Dhamaal for stealing his spoofs and stage acts.

Our source informs, “Everyone who has earlier seen Raju on Great Indian Laughter Challenge on Star One is quite familiar with his spoofs and stand up acts, especially the act Bhai Logon Ka Satsang. The act is the one where Raju imitates the dons and local bhais who are loosing their grip on the aam janta and they reach to a conclusion that the best way to earn money in a short span of time is by conning people. So they don the attire of pundits and then force people to come and hear their religious sermons in exchange of a hefty amount. The same act has been used in the film Double Dhamaal wherein Satish Kaushik’s character is a big underworld bhai who is fed up of police chasing him around. He then decides to become a baba and gives pravachans to earn money.” An angry Raju Srivastav says, “I had done this act in Laughter Challenge six years back. They have stolen this act and a few more. And when I called Indra Kumar, he laughed it off as a friendly gesture. It is a very wrong thing to do on professional front. This is my act that they have stolen. I have been getting calls from my friends and fans who are reiterating the plagiarism.”
