The cast and crew of Rashmi Sharma Production’ shows Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka and Desh Ki Beti Nandini partied hard last night on completion of Saathiya’s 1000 episodes (31 January 2014). They also partied to celebrate Producer Rashmi Sharma’s birthday. However, the champagne’s still flowing as two shows from the camp of the above production house have gone on to burn the TRP chart by garnering superb numbers. Saath Nibhana Saathiya (5.9) on Star Plus emerged as the top rated daily soap across GECs (TAM ratings week 11), beating Diya Aur Baati Hum (which has been on the top for a long time now). And Sasural Simar Ka (2.7) on Colors has also gained in numbers and has become the highest rated show on the channel. Indeed, impressive!!! When contacted Producer Rashmi Sharma she said, “It’s a big achievement.1000 episodes completion yesterday and today it’s number one after all these years. I really feel proud.” Talking about Sasural she went on to add, “Simar was neck-to-neck with Balika Vadhu for a long time now and after three years it’s on number one in the channel. The channel and we are really excited about it. This calls for another party.” Vishal Singh best known as Jigar (Saath Nibhana) has been suffering from jaundice for a while now but this does not bring down the excitement of his show grabbing the numero uno position as he states, “It’s a wonderful thing to happen after all these years. I look at it as a big achievement and we will be partying the minute I am back on the set. The show is also doing well because we are all like a family that works toward achieving it all.” An excited Rucha Hasabnis aka Rashi (Saathiya) giggled as she said, “I am elated to be number one. I just can’t express how happy I am.” We also contacted the Sasural Simar Ka brother duo Prem - Siddhant (Dheeraj Dhoopar and Manish Raisinghani) and they too went on to express their gaiety. “We’ve worked really hard and it is finally paying off. The minute the news hit our sets we felt emotionally high. We are going to work harder and try maintaining the numbers,” confirmed Dheeraj. Manish on the other hand said, “It’s the first time ever and I am extremely excited. It’s a happy and proud moment.” Congratulations guys!
