Colors’ popular show, Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Productions) will now take a six years leap, which will start with the protagonists Prem (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Simar (Dipika Kakar) living separately.

The post leap phase will see the introduction of a new family, that of the Kapoors.

Playing the patriarch in the family will be noted actor Rushad Rana. We hear that his character will turn out to be that of Simar’s ex-lover. Destiny would have brought them together again, and Kapoor would have brought Simar to his house.

Simar will now be living with her son Piyush, as the governess taking care of the kids of Kapoors. The role of Piyush will be played by child artist Heer Morabia.

Popular actress Jaswir Kaur who was last seen in Ishq Ka Rang Safed on Colors will play the wife of Kapoor. She will be a nagging wife, who would be insecure of Simar’s presence in her house.

The Kapoors will have a son and daughter Rohan and Roshni, essayed by actors Bhavesh Babani and Bhakti Vasani.

In the Bharadwaj family, Prem and Simar’s daughter Anjali will be shown to be a 12 years old girl.

The character of Anjali will be played by popular dancer and actress, Sneha Chauhan. Sneha was one of the top 16 contestants in the dance reality show Boogie Woogie. She has also participated in Zara Nach Ke Dikha, India’s Got Talent 7. Recently, she was seen in Life OK’s Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re.

When contacted, Rushad confirmed the news of his entry in Sasural Simar Ka. The actor was last seen in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum.
