Saifullah Rahmani to feature in Sony PAL's Singhasan Battisi

Sony PAL’s mytho cum historical cum fantasy based show, Singhasan Battisi produced by Creative Eye will see the start of yet another story narrated to Raja Bhoj (Siddharth Arora) that will test the valour of the King. In this particular story, actor Saifullah Rahmani will play an out and out negative character by name Shakteshwar. The man will be a mighty king who would have attained all powers by way of ‘Hat Yoga’. He would have become so supreme that he would want his followers and people to call him by the name of God. The man would be so cruel in his ways that he would end up killing the people who would not call him God. However, the man will meet his end when a simpleton by name Suraj Bhan (played by actor Kapil Soni) would accidentally cut off his neck. However, in order to not give mukti to Shakteshwar, Suraj Bhan will hide the neck in a basket. Now with the passage of time, Shakteshwar would have got back and even with his headless form, would be killing people, thus creating menace. Raja Bhoj will be given the task of getting mukti for Shakteshwar, thereby ending his cruelty. Saifullah has earlier been part of shows like Buddha, Sankat Mochan Hanuman, Mahadev and episodics like CID, Shapath, Fear Files as main negative. When contacted, Saifullah confirmed that he is playing a mighty and cruel guy in Singhasan Battisi. This particular story will go on air from tonight (29 September).
