MUMBAI: Zee5 is bringing back the sequel of Zee TV’s popular show Jamai Raja. The makers have retained actors Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma and Achint Kaur from the first edition.

In an interview with India Forums, the lead pair - Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey spoke about the show and much more. When asked how is Jamai Raja 2.0 different from Jamai Raja, Ravi said, “Everything is different, even though you have seen the entire Jamai Raja, you won’t be able to imagine what Jamai Raja 2.0 has for you.” Nia added, “That story is no more there, spaces are the same, the names are the same but then the entire story has changed.”

When asked how comfortable were they while shooting, Nia said, “We were so much at loggerheads that we wanted to kill each other at one point in time. If we had knives then we would have at least slashed each other's throats with it. This is how bad we were but still, there came a time when we had differentiated between personal and professional and this how we were pulling it off. Also, there were times when we were so mad on the camera that we had a call from the channel and we were taken on a conference call and we were asked to mend our ways and work out the differences. Later, after a year when things dissolved by themselves and Ravi and I became friends, I think that was the thickest friendship I shared with Ravi and it never changed after that.

Ravi added, “She is my favourite co-star. Even during the time when we were fighting, I maintained huge regards for her and we were still taking the best Jodi award and here we are again as Jodi.”
